BC Interior Sportsman Show postponed for 2nd consecutive year – Okanagan

The 2022 BC Interior Sportsman Show has been postponed, organizers announced this week.
Scheduled to take place April 22-24 in Kelowna, event spokeswoman Rosanne Ting-Mak Brown called the decision not to hold the popular event this year a difficult one.
The event started in 2016 and ran annually until 2020, but has since been canceled due to pandemic issues. It is hoped that the show will return next year.

“As we continue to navigate these difficult times,” Ting-Mak Brown said, “we continue to experience uncertainty due to staffing shortages, public health order requirements, travel challenges and security issues. supply chain, and we feel that we would be unable to provide the quality show that our suppliers and attendees expect from the BC Interior Sportsman show team.
On the site’s Facebook page, organizers said they were announcing this year’s postponement to give sellers a reasonable cancellation period.
“We were able to weather the financial losses in 2020, but needed more certainty this year, one of the reasons we decided to postpone,” the post said.
The event attracts around 80-90 vendors and sees around 6,000 visitors over the weekend.
