BMW X5 E70 Individual with dirty interior refreshed by Pro Detailer
It may look great on the outside, but this BMW X5 has certainly seen better days on the inside. Being a 2013 car, it is one of the last built in the E70 era before the generation change to the F15. We’re looking at an xDrive30d model owned by a lady who’s had the SUV’s exterior thoroughly cleaned for the past few weeks.
However, the interior is an unsanitary mix of dirt and grime. Grease, coffee spills, makeup, dog/cat hair and whatever you have is pretty much everywhere you look. The accumulation of dust on the buttons of the power seats reveals that the interior has long been neglected. The back of the cabin is just as grimy, and the same can be said for the cargo area.
Fortunately, a professional detailer came to the rescue of the E70 and cleaned the interior well. He needed it desperately after having been used extensively as a beast of burden. The expert did more than just spruce up the cabin, he also meticulously refreshed the engine compartment. It should be noted that this is not just any second-gen X5, but an individual, special-order example.
Using a vacuum cleaner to clean the carpet was the first thing to do, but there was so much more to it. Those leather-wrapped seats had to be partially detached to clean the area underneath as any respectable detailer would. The time-lapse video shows the tedious process of properly restoring the E70 to its former glory.
This BMW X5 E70 shines again
From the door panels to the rear section of the center console, every inch of the interior has been refreshed. Particular attention was paid to the steering wheel as years of driving the E70 took a toll on its condition. The professional detailer also spent time cleaning the inside of the windows after getting rid of the tar buildup on the underside of the doors.
The before and after shots at the end of the video show how much time and effort went into detailing the interior of the E70. It’s safe to assume the owner is pretty happy with how his X5 turned out. For us, it’s oddly satisfying to see a dirty car get the care it rightly deserves.
