Emmitt’s Las Vegas taps Rockwell Group as interior designer
Award-winning global architecture and design firm develops unique and individual narrative concept for Emmitt Smith’s Las Vegas destination
Las Vegas, Nevada (RestaurantNews.com) Emmitt’s Las Vegas – slated to open later this year – has appointed Rockwell Group as its interior designer. The interdisciplinary architecture and design firm will oversee all aspects of architectural and interior design, including the creation of bespoke furniture and lighting fixtures.
Pro Football Hall of Famer and entrepreneur Emmitt Smith’s restaurant will seat up to 360 people across the two-story main restaurant, bar/lounge, test kitchen, Player’s Lounge and private dining areas additional. Smith’s latest project has been helmed by veteran executive chef Rainer Schwarz and will be a premier destination for elegant dining, dynamic live concerts, exclusive tastings and other elite events. Conveniently located at Fashion Show Las Vegas on the Strip, which attracts over 42 million visitors a year, Emmitt’s placement near some of the busiest spots in town will only elevate the already high-profile area.
“I understand the value of having great teammates backing me up to be the best at everything I do,” Smith said. “Our Rockwell Group partners understand my vision and are able to make it a reality that will make the company a world-class destination for tourists and residents.”
Overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, Emmitt’s will offer an upscale dining experience inspired by a classic American steakhouse and a second level that will host “The Deck”, which will be able to host watch parties, live concerts and other events . This second level will also house “The Player’s Lounge”, a VIP area for watching sports and events during the day with the option to transform into a lounge at night. Oversized elements and elegant, luxurious materials will add a touch of glamor to Las Vegas.
“The Rockwell Band is thrilled to partner with Emmitt Smith on this unique and spectacular project on the iconic Strip,” said Rockwell Band Partner Shawn Sullivan. “Leveraging our hospitality expertise and decades of live event design experience, we are creating a new destination for restaurants, live concerts, watch parties and more. events.”
Upon arrival, guests will pass through a slatted iron gate flanked by atmospheric sconces, then walk through a chic indoor-outdoor passageway lined with lush trees.
A grand entrance will feature 360-degree arched double-height walnut and leather walls inspired by the shape of whiskey barrels. Built-in glass display cases will showcase a selection of private blended whiskeys, among an offering of additional premium spirits. In the Player’s Lounge, there will be large, enclosed liquor displays equipped with the latest technology to showcase ultra-premium liquors and exclusive wines from VIP’s private collection. NFT and Digital wine-based art collectibles will also be presented as holograms, constantly rotating throughout the night.
The cantilevered check-in desk and grand spiral marble staircase let you know that something extraordinary awaits both at street level and above. A giant chandelier hovers overhead, visible from both levels. As patrons enter the bar, they are greeted by a beautiful curved wooden drop ceiling, washed with integrated LED lights. Composed of thousands of feet of bentwood like a light ribbon, it continues into the dining room beyond. The main dining room, which is separated from the bar by a curved banquette, is executed in a sumptuous palette drawn from the colors of whiskey and cognac with bright copper mesh accents.
On the upper level, an upscale Player’s Lounge will be the ultimate VIP area, with flexible configurations for different types of events. The focal point is a dramatically lit bar, tucked behind an architectural portal. Ebonized wood and lightly glossy paneling envelop the space in ethereal warmth. The ceiling features the fluid geometry of a handful of hexagons that curve to meet caged light fixtures. Finally, two exclusive convertible VIP lounges will be available for private events.
Also on the upper level, The Deck is a flexible outdoor space that can be used for alfresco dining and cocktail parties as well as live concerts. A green room gives performers a place to relax before hitting the stage.
The venue’s distinctive location and design provides exclusive sponsorship and branding opportunities for like-minded brands that match Emmitt Smith’s aesthetic. From high-traffic sightlines, multiple LED screens that captivate foot traffic to the venue’s two stages, Emmitt’s Las Vegas brings a unique vision to marketers and advertisers.
