The artist took to TikTok and Instagram to reveal how to make a bedroom look more expensive and larger – by simply styling your bed.

He explained in a short video, “I oversize everything when it comes to my queen bed, which includes my duvets, as well as my pillows.

“It’s going to give it more of that raised, taller, cloud-like texture that feels so much more comfortable.”

Phoenix is seen making her bed, starting with putting sheets on her mattress, fluffing up her pillows, placing them on top of each other, and putting down her duvet.

“My best kept secret is to use two duvets. I have one cool-based and one warm-based that I alternate from season to season, and the other that I will always style over the top for give it that extra cloudy appearance,” Phoenix continues.

“It gives you that overflow, on the sides, to make your bed look even bigger.”

He dresses his bed with three sizes of 24×24 pillows and two 12×24 inserts.

Phoenix also decorates the bed with a blanket on the side.

He suggests folding the blanket “to give you that plush, luxurious look that makes your room look bigger.”

Previously, the interior design expert and TikToker shared another video on how to make your bedroom “more expensive!”

The first tip he mentions is about the bedding you choose to buy.

He explains, “First of all, you’re being lied to about your sheets. They say over 1,000 thread count makes it softer. Anything over 1,000 thread count is a marketing scheme to make you buy these sheets.

“The unnecessary amount of weaves actually reduces the quality and makes these fabrics thicker and less breathable.

“I will always recommend anywhere between 300 and 500 thread count. Anything below 300 is irritating. Anything above 500 is going to feel a lot heavier.

Next, Phoenix talks about the importance of having a headboard attached to your bed and the benefits of wall sconces.

Meanwhile, TikToker and home decor expert Shellfish also shared some cozy bedroom tips.

She says in a recently shared video, “I personally love the comfy, clean look of a bed. I feel like it helps add to the calming atmosphere I’m trying to create.

“I always use these eucalyptus silk sheets because they’re super soft, cruelty-free, and they’re so much better for the environment than regular cotton sheets.”
