Interior: “simple changes” to make the rooms “luxurious” without spending a fortune

Designing a bedroom can be challenging, with lots of colors and furniture to choose from. While many others are looking to add a touch of luxury to their bedrooms, experts have recommended choosing particular colors and furniture. Nic Shacklock, Head of Marketing at Online Bedrooms, said: “Who doesn’t love a bit of luxury in the bedroom? Our tips will help homeowners create a more luxurious atmosphere without having to spend a fortune.

“Simple changes like altering the color scheme can make a huge difference, as can upgrading your bedding with beautiful throws, blankets and soft pillows.

“We’ve all spent so much time in our homes and gardens over the past couple of years, so it’s always good to refresh them and add a little touch of luxury.”

With more people working from home than ever, it is said that the bedroom is becoming a much more personal space.

To help you upgrade it without breaking the bank, the experts at Online Bedrooms recommended choosing the color palette carefully and creating a wall of panels.

“Dark grays, teals and emerald glades are favored to transform a featureless house into a standout one.”

Matching bedroom furniture, including wardrobes, to the theme of the room can also help make it feel more luxurious.

Experts explain: “Installing a wardrobe with sliding or recessed doors adds practicality to the room.

“It can be easy to get carried away with placements, so when designing a room, make sure it’s accessible, yet out of the way, and matches the nuances of the room.

According to experts, even adding a matching patterned throw to duvet sets can create a “dynamic change.”

They continued, “It’s not just the bed that stands out, it’s the surrounding placements next to it.

“Adding an area rug that fits in with both the color scheme and the overall style can add wonders to the bedroom.

“A taupe gray style or a tarkali shore ocean blue placed between the bed and the wardrobe can combine all the elements of the room together.”

Homeowners can also add bedside lamps as well as a small sofa to create a cool and stylish environment.
