Macanese Living Museum of Taipa Houses Interior Renovation Completed

MACAO, September 9 – Renovation work on the interior of the Macanese Living Museum of Taipa Houses, under the auspices of the Cultural Affairs Office (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), has recently been completed. The works mainly include the repair and renovation of interior walls, doors and windows and sidewalks, in order to preserve Macao’s architectural heritage and improve the atmosphere of the Museum.

Located on Avenida da Praia, the Macanese Living Museum recreates the scenes of daily life from Macau’s past through the display of Macanese history and culture, furniture and images.

The Macanese Living Museum of Taipa Houses is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., including holidays, and is closed on Mondays. Free entry. Public guided tours are available on Saturdays from 3-5 p.m. All are welcome to visit.
