New Maruti Suzuki Baleno reservations started: Comes with updated exterior and interior
Apart from that, the Indo-Japanese automaker has started production of the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno ahead of its launch in the country as the company anticipates strong demand for the upcoming premium sedan.
Demand for the new upcoming Baleno is expected as it is a major launch for Nexa outlets after a big gap and production of the updated premium sedan takes place at the manufacturing plant of the brand in Gujrat, India.
Recently the photo of the new Baleno at the production plant was shared online and quickly went viral on various social media platforms, and from these spy photos it became clear that the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno features an updated interior and exterior.
Since the outgoing Baleno is one of the best-selling models in India, Maruti Suzuki may start selling the current Baleno through its Arena dealerships across the country.
That being said, as Nexa showrooms aim to provide customers with a more upscale experience, the new updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be sold exclusively through Nexa dealerships across the country.
According to sources, the updated Baleno also features an all-new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with a new and improved operating system that was developed with Toyota.
Apart from this, the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno can come with attractive features such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charger, Suzuki Connect telematics and much more.
Along with these updates, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno may even include a fully digital dashboard, updated upholstery.
Other than that, the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno is very likely to feature reinforced chainstays and higher quality steel. This means that the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno can even get a 5 star safety rating and according to sources, the high end variants of the maruti Suzuki Baleno can even get 6 airbags.
The next Maruti Suzuki Baleno could continue to use the same proven powertrains as the outgoing model, meaning it will be available with two engine choices, one of which is partially electrified.
The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre K12 petrol engine produces 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque. While the 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine produces slightly more power at 89bhp, torque output remains the same.
Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, however, the CVT automatic gearbox can only be used with a VVT engine. However, the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno may come with an AMT gearbox instead of the CVT unit.
We expect the new Baleno to be priced competitively, but slightly more upscale than the existing model.
