Shanta Lifestyle Launches International Home Decor Flagship Store

Shanta Lifestyle, in cooperation with Molteni Group, inaugurated the first Molteni&C|Dada Flagship Store in Bangladesh on June 26, 2022. The store is located at Shanta Forum, the country’s first twin tower, located in Tejgaon. Modern and iconic elegance stands out against the skyline of Tejgaon and reflects the new standard of luxury and exclusivity that characterizes the region.

Angelo Molteni established the brand in Guissano, Italy in 1934 and his artisan workshop quickly became synonymous with quality furniture. The workshop grew very quickly and, in 1968, the production moved from classic furniture to modern and well-designed furniture.

Molteni is renowned for its avant-garde collection, an artistic and cultural heritage, signed by great masters such as Gio Ponti, Werner Blaser, Yasuhiko Itoh, Afra and Tobia Scarpa. The brand entered the contract world in 1975 by supplying furniture to Saudi Arabia and Egypt. By 2008, distribution had gone international, with approximately 600 stores worldwide and 57 flagship stores.

Today it is a renowned furniture house working with some of the most renowned designers including Rodolfo Dordoni, Gio Ponti and Vincent Van Duysen. Molteni favors research and technological innovation to give its products an intrinsic quality capable of withstanding the test of time. Sustainable design and production has become an overarching goal, deeply embedded in the company’s strategy, emphasizing the concepts of quality and sustainability as a contribution to environmental sustainability.

The 5,000 square foot flagship store is on Level 4, and the entrance welcomes visitors to the first living space, where Nicola Gallizia’s Edge rug frames the Gregor sofa and Margou armchairs, designed by the creative director of the company Vincent Van Duysen, as well as the Vicino and 45° coffee tables, respectively by Gallizia and Ron Gilad.

The iconic Piroscafo bookcase is flanked by the magnificent Arc table designed by Foster+Partners, flanked, in turn, by the Barbican table by Dordoni. This introduces visitors to a first kitchen area: Prime, Sistema XY and Woody chairs by Francesco Meda create an elegant and practical composition.

Hector by Vincent Van Duysen leads to a generous space with different areas: a living room with the impressive Half a Square table by Michael Anastassiades, complemented by Tea chairs by Jasper Morrison, as well as Horizons by Bonuccelli, giving the space a refined and sophisticated atmosphere. air.

The sleeping area features an impressive Gliss Master composition, containing the Domino pouf by Nicola Gallizia, in perfect harmony with the Anton bed by Van Duysen and the Attico coffee tables.

Next comes a second living space, where the Ratio kitchen by Van Duysen is framed by the large Vibrazioni rug by Gallizia: here, the Octave sofa and the iconic armchair designed by Gio Ponti sit alongside the Alisee coffee tables by Matteo Nunziati.

A master dressing room leads to a large space that perfectly integrates day and night solutions, including elegant and refined furniture from the Molteni&C collections: the Password system by Dante Bonuccelli, the Gregor and Piccadilly chairs, the Louisa and Vicino coffee tables and the bed Azul.

Two small green spaces within the exhibition space create a link with Nature, bringing freshness to the surrounding environment. The path culminates in a convivial café lounge enriched with Chelsea chairs and Belsize coffee tables.

The overall result is an impactful environment that showcases and enhances the Molteni&C|Dada collections, creating a warm, welcoming and empowering design experience.

The Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Enrico Nunziata, was the guest of honor at the grand launch. Molteni&C Commercial Director, Carlo Moro, was present on behalf of the Molteni Group for this inauguration. Many business icons, including Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman and British American Tobacco Shehzad Munim, were in attendance, alongside Shanta Group CEOs.
