Since 1984, Honda Incredible performance hotshot, the Civic Si, has been available at US dealerships. Its status as the top choice in the sport sedan category makes it more popular among car enthusiasts.
The 2022 edition of the Civic Si comes with many fabulous features that increase its value. It prides itself on being an affordable sports sedan that provides drivers with efficiency, reliability and top performance in a single effort. We also like this model because it’s a car that mixes base cars and performance sedans.
This is the eleventh generation of the Civic and it has never looked better than it does today. Although this model year the Civic Si has been redesigned, a significant change is the maximum power output which is now 200 hp. But it relies on the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that was present in the previous year’s model.
While the 2022 Civic Si is an almost perfect vehicle, this feature lingers on its fantastic interior. When we said it gives you an immersive driving experience, we weren’t kidding. Read on to learn more about the interesting interior design of this car.
The beautiful interior design of the 2022 Honda Civic Si
For performance-oriented vehicles like sports cars, no automaker is willing to sacrifice performance for other reasons. However, the all-new Civic Si is a perfect balance between the two philosophies. As expected, the driver will spend a lot of time inside the car, so it makes sense to spruce up the interior.
For a sedan that sits under $30,000, its interior is admirable, and that’s made possible by Honda’s excellent design team. The car confirms the belief that not all good things can be obtained by buying a luxury item. The interior is nothing like the old model, and you notice that as soon as you encounter the dashboard.
The design team takes a minimalist approach to the dashboard. The dashboard layout is unique and comes with a nine-inch infotainment screen. Additionally, a fancy strip of honeycomb trim runs from one part of the dash to the other. An interesting detail about this trim is how it conceals the air conditioning vents.
The new Civic Si features dramatic design details
We can’t stop talking about the dashboard as it is a beautiful work of art that enhances the beauty of sports sedans. Plus, you might walk into the Civic Si and admit that its interior design belongs to pricey compact sedans and not this cheap marvel.
The interior includes a set of rubber-coated ventilation control knobs. Many hard buttons are part of the interior design of the car. Honda decided not to cram all the switches into the touchscreen. This seems like a good idea as it saves you from succumbing to distractions while driving. With it, you can operate the buttons while looking at the road. You get full leather seats, although the feeling of power and heated seats is greatly missed. We’ll never understand why Honda chose to build a beautiful sports car without electric or heated seats.
You will notice that the steering wheel is dressed in leather and adorned with red stitching. The seams resume the honeycomb shape that you will find on the dashboard.
Red and black are the standard interior colors you will find in the 2022 Civic Si. Cloth upholstery is also a standard feature which is evident in the black colored steering wheel. The passenger compartment mixes hard and flexible plastics, which hardly surprises us. Although the interior colors are amazing, it would have been better to offer a few more options.
The 2022 Honda Civic Si has a nice set of infotainment features
A big part of the interior of the Civic Si is the infotainment which happens to be in the same league as some of the best models made by Honda. As we mentioned earlier, it has a 9.0-inch touchscreen strategically located in the center of the dashboard. You can control the screen volume with a button and what a happy feeling in the modern world.
As expected, the 2022 Si integrates wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It also has a 12-speaker Bose audio system capable of giving you a thrilling time.
For Under $30,000 You Can Own This Cool Sports Sedan
Compared to other 2022 sport sedans, you’ll find the Civic Si to be your best bet, especially when you’re on a tight budget. There are quirks, but we feel that there are necessary evils.
You will learn to live without electric seats or heated seats, provided you enjoy driving a vehicle with a beautiful interior. At $27,300, it has that sporty look that’s hard not to fantasize about.
